Mariánské Lázně is the second largest city of the West-Bohemian spa triangle. It is world-famous for the curing successes and high-quality natural resources, as well as for its beautiful and charming position in a picturesque, wide-open valley in the green zone of thoroughly maintained forests.
Františkovy Lázně is the smallest spa of the West-Bohemian spa triangle. It was established in 1793 and it has preserved the character of a chamber spa town dating back to the turn of the century. Its charm is highlighted by the integral Classicism architecture of spa buildings and pavilions.
Karlovy Vary, the most famous and largest spa in the Czech Republic was founded around the year 1350. The Roman Emperor and Czech King Charles IV promoted it to a city in 1370 and the end of the 19th century predetermined the final architectural face to it.
